WELCOME TO PAXOS ISLAND

DISCOVER PAXOS

Paxos is a small island in the Ionian Sea, located 7 miles south of Corfu, 8 miles from the mainland coast and administratively belongs to the Prefecture of Corfu. The capital of Paxos is the picturesque Gaios, which is naturally protected by two islets, Panagia and Agios Nikolaos.

Paxos is characterized by its dense vegetation and is mainly famous for its vast olive groves, which date back hundreds of years, and small vineyards. Paxos is an island with many caves and sulfur springs. Since the 1960s, the inhabitants of Paxos have been involved in tourism, fishing and the production of olive oil and wine. The olive oil of Paxos is of very high quality and is also used in the production of soap and shampoo.

The beaches of Paxos are one of your best choices in the Ionian Sea. Clear blue waters and golden sands in an idyllic landscape that stands out in the surrounding area. You can take small boats to uncrowded beaches and swim in waters you may have never seen before.

Paxos is a serene gem among the Ionian Islands of Greece, celebrated for its unspoiled beauty and laid-back atmosphere. Though small in size, the island captivates visitors with its emerald waters, hidden coves, and dense olive groves that blanket the landscape.
